My goals

My goal is to sail in the 2000 Olympic Games. I have been sailing Laser 2 for four years and moved into the 470 class this summer when we competed in the 15th Maccabiah games in July. In my last year of high school at Upper Canada College I sought a University with an outstanding intercollegiate sailing team together with associated financial support. I have since discovered that, unlike rugby and football, athletic scholarships are banned in sailing. The ICYRA rules forbid any sort of financial incentive for students. I have since changed my immediate plans and will be attending Huron College at the University of Western Ontario and will find other ways to continue my training year-round. In the meantime I continue to seek support from National or Provincial Sailing organizations, and corporate or private sponsors to assist me in my training efforts.
